Free Tutorial on Data Analysis during ISOEN 2009
JLM Innovation will hold a tutorial on data analysis for multi sensor systems during the ISOEN 2009 conference in Brescia on
Friday 17th April, 2009 from 15:00 to 17:30
Topics:
- Overview of the individual steps in data analysis for multi sensor systems
- Data handling and introduction to the MultiSens Analyzer software package
- Filtering techniques (FIR filters, IIR filters)
- Feature extraction techniques
- Scaling and normalization
- Projection methods (PCA, LDA)
- Regression methods (PCR, PLS)
- Classification methods (K-Nearest Neighbor, Mahalonobis distances, Artificial Neural Networks)
- Integration with common tools (Matlab, R, Excel)
Participation is free of charge.
The focus of the tutorial will be to deliver an understanding about what steps are typically done, what kind of problems can be solved with the individual steps and how the individual steps interact.
A trial version of the MultiSens Analyzer software will be available to all registrants on USB sticks or CD-ROM. The software runs directly from the USB stick. No other installation is needed.
Attendees may bring their own laptops to follow the tutorial with the MultiSens Analyzer software running on their Laptops.
Requirements for the software: USB port, Windows XP or Windows Vista.
The MultiSens Analyzer software allows to import various data formats. Attendees may use their own data to test drive the algorithms.
The ISOEN 2009 conference takes place in Brescia/Italy on 15 to 17 April 2009
