The Modular Breath Analyzer (MBA) is a highly flexible platform for the integration and measurement of the gas sensors of your choice. Breath analysis is made versatile and comprehensive through the use of up to three separate sensing chambers, each with its own unique set of sensors — so you can characterise a single breath sample across multiple sensor technologies at once.

Modular by design

Sensor modules integrate in true plug-and-play fashion, letting you combine research and commercial sensors simultaneously on one platform. An exchangeable, ultra-low-volume sensing chamber is optimised for breath samples, while a removable glass sampling tube keeps the sample path clean and simple to service. All mounted sensors communicate over a single micro USB interface.

Built for breath measurement

Integrated flow and NDIR sensors monitor the exhalation process in real time, while onboard ambient temperature, pressure and humidity sensing provides the context needed to interpret every signal. A valve-controlled, buffered-air sampling method and a temperature-controlled chamber (27–45 °C) keep measurement conditions well defined and repeatable.

Compatible with MultiSens

The MBA works directly with the MultiSens software for in-depth signal analysis and characterization, including pattern recognition — and can be combined with our other measurement systems to build a true hybrid sensor setup.

Made to fit your application
